Astrogun LLC (“Astrogun”) wants to ensure that your privacy is protected. This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected when you visit the https://www.astrogun.com website (the “Site”), how it is used, and the choices you have.
The short version
The Site tells you about Astrogun, its games and its characters. It has no user accounts, no sign-up, contact or newsletter forms, no forum and no shop, and it does not take payments. It does not use analytics or advertising trackers, and it sets no cookies of its own. You can browse it anonymously.
Information you choose to send us
If you email Astrogun (for example at info@astrogun.com, support@astrogun.com or jobs@astrogun.com), we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and whatever you write or attach — such as a support question or a job application. We use it only to reply and to carry on that conversation (and, for applications, to consider you for the role), and we keep it for as long as that correspondence is useful to us or as the law requires.
Information collected automatically
The Site is hosted by Vercel Inc. Like any web host, Vercel’s servers record standard technical details about each request — such as your IP address, browser and operating system, the page requested, the referring page and the time — to deliver the Site, keep it secure and diagnose problems. These logs are kept for a limited period set by Vercel and are not used by Astrogun to identify you. See Vercel’s Privacy Policy.
The Site’s fonts are served from the Site itself, so viewing it does not contact a font service.
Embedded video and audio
Trailers and other videos on the Site are YouTube videos, shown through YouTube’s privacy-enhanced player (youtube-nocookie.com). Their preview images are loaded from YouTube (Google) with the page, and so that a video plays on the first click its player is loaded when the video comes into view, so your browser contacts YouTube when you view pages with videos (such as the VAST™ and Bombcrash pages). YouTube may store information in your browser and collects information under Google’s Privacy Policy, especially once you play a video. The Teams page also embeds a Spotify player, which is governed by Spotify’s Privacy Policy.
Cookies
The Site itself does not set cookies or use your browser’s local storage. The embedded YouTube and Spotify players may use cookies or similar storage under their own policies. You can set your browser to refuse or alert you to cookies; the Site will still work, though an embedded player may not.
Buying games and merchandise
Astrogun’s games and merchandise are sold through third-party stores — such as Steam, the Apple App Store and Mac App Store, Kongregate and Society6 — and links to compatible hardware go to retailers such as Apple and Amazon. When you follow one of those links and buy something, you deal with that store directly: it collects your account, payment and delivery details under its own privacy policy, and Astrogun does not receive them. Some Amazon links are affiliate links (Amazon Associates); if you buy through one, Amazon may tell Astrogun that a qualifying purchase was made, but not who made it.
Our games
This policy covers the Site. Astrogun’s games do not collect personal information from players at this time; the store or platform you get a game from (and any services it provides, such as achievements or cloud saves) handles information under its own privacy policy.
Sharing your information
We do not sell, trade, or rent anyone’s personal information. Information is handled by the service providers that run the Site and our email (such as Vercel) only as needed to provide those services, and may be disclosed if required by law.
Security
The Site is served only over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and we take reasonable measures to protect the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however.
Children
Astrogun makes games for all ages, but the Site does not ask for or collect personal information from anyone, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has emailed us personal information, write to info@astrogun.com and we will delete it.
Your choices
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you (in practice, any emails you have sent us), or ask us to correct or delete it, by writing to info@astrogun.com.
Third Party Websites
The Site links to other websites and services, including stores, press coverage, and Astrogun’s pages on YouTube, Steam Community, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Twitch and others. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or practices; browsing and interacting on any other website is subject to that website’s own terms and policies.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
Astrogun may update this Privacy Policy at any time — for example if the Site adds a newsletter, analytics or a store. When we do, we revise the updated date at the bottom of this page. You acknowledge and agree that it is your responsibility to review this Privacy Policy periodically and become aware of modifications.
Your Acceptance of These Terms
By using this Site, you signify your acceptance of this policy and the Terms of Use. If you do not agree to this policy, please do not use the Site. Your continued use of the Site following the posting of changes to this policy will be deemed your acceptance of those changes.
